The interior is gorgeous. It's hard to believe how they transformed the old Rubicon space. It really does feel like a Victorian-era restaurant that's been revitalized. The bar is intimate, but not intimidating. The upstairs is cozy and refined, yet manages to be very comfortable. It must have been the ease of the wait staff. We felt incredibly well cared for without being smothered. And we loved every single dish we ordered. Really can't say enough great things about the place!
Everything we had was delicious and well prepared, though the Poutine was not as satisfying as the traditional, Quebecois street-style . Agree with cupcake on the interior--feels like a faithful restoration of an early 1900s SF eatery.
