This place gets packed FAST (and doesn't take reservations). If you get there before 6:30 pm, you're usually okay; however, if there's a wait, give your name and number with the hostess and wander over to Heart (wine bar just a half block south of restaurant). Or if you live a half block away from Beretta (like us!) - call, put your name in, enjoy a glass of wine or two at home, and they'll call when your table is ready!

From the restaurant: Beretta serves inventive cocktails, thin crust pizzas, and contemporary italian comfort food in the mission district. Everything on the menu is always fresh, seasonal, and sourced from local farmers. we use organic ingredients whenever possible, and offer many vegetarian and vegan options.

What to get: Focus on the cocktails, pizza, fresh meats, and select appetizers (see above).
