it's expensive but, with quince, it's the best restaurant in the city. the food is very careful and recalls the lightness & restraint of alain passard (l'arpege/paris) - it has come a long way in a year and it will start getting mentioned as one of the better restaurants in america soon

possibly the best pizza in america, right up there w/ keste (nyc) & bianca (phoenix.) this guy is an artist - he's dialed into doing one thing perfectly - mission accomplished

imo, this is the most exciting up & coming restaurant in SF. it defies the typical chez panisse / delfina formulas, shows great ambition, and surprising restraint, considering the youth & relative inexperience of the chef. they have great intuition and i suspect this will receice a michelin star in 2 years.
