Though this is a newer location, there's a reason this family of restaurants has thrived through several decades. The food is spicy but balanced, and the service is incredibly friendly. They always let me talk them into delivering to me even when they're just about to close.
A side note - if you come across their sadly out-of-print cookbook (Henry Chung's Hunan Style Chinese Cookbook), snatch it up! Those recipes are gold.

Black beansThese refried black beans are MAGIC. I don't know how they make them so freaking delicious without animal products, but they are. They come with pretty much all the entrees, but an extra side of beans is only $2!No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likes
No idea who makes their croissants (it may well be someone already on the list!), but they are awesome. Perfectly flaky on the outside, beautiful buttery layers on the inside.
