If you are willing to drive, you can go up to Hog Island in Tomales Bay, where you can buy oysters right from the farm and picnic on the grounds.
They also have an outpost at the Ferry Building.

Zuni is one of the classic places in SF to get oysters. Because they are known for oysters, they usually have a wide variety to choose from, with excellent turnover.
