If you love coffee such as is the norm in Italy, try this place.  They have the best macchiato in SF.

Agreed. Best coffee in SF... Ritual is a close second for me.

All the barristas are into their craft.  Good coffee (almost as good as I make with their beans at home)

Definitely one of my favorites. I like their Elida Estate. Super bright with great acidity.

They brew each cup just for you from their own sourced imports and fresh roasts. Anything you desire in the way of coffee and a few well chosen snacks to go with it. Also, every bag you take away has the roast date stamped right on it.

Ecco CaffeAdd this place

Currently, Ecco roasts their beans in Santa Rosa but they are building out a new roastery in Potrero Hill. Andrew Barnett founded Ecco Caffe years ago and has always done a stellar job of sourcing beans. They roast on the medium/lighter side and I feel like they do a great job of developing the bean with each roast. The folks working for Ecco are definitely of the top calibre in Specialty Coffee. You can find their beans at BiRite and Rainbow and you can have it served to you at Ma'velous on Market.

rodger's coffee on 19th near valencia from best coffee in townAdd this place

this guy invented cup-at-a-time.  he's a freak, but the coffee rocks.

at least 30 different bean & roasts - none burnt....

dump of a shop, but beats the pants off the fancy shmancy places.

OH>.. and it takes about 60 seconds to get a cup - NOT the 9 it takes at summit, around the corner
